During the initial 24 hours of sales, the Proof and Uncirculated $5 gold coins, as well as the three-coin Proof set, had order limits of one item per household. The pricing for the gold coin options and three-coin set is subject to weekly changes based on fluctuations in the spot price of gold.
Mintage and Production Details
The three-coin sets have a maximum release of 5,000 sets, with 250 of the three-coin Proof sets containing hand-signed certificates of authenticity by U.S. Mint Director Ventris C. Gibson. These sets are assembled at the West Point Mint and include coins from the Philadelphia Mint and the San Francisco Mint.
The gold coin’s maximum mintage is 50,000 coins across all product options, while the silver dollar’s maximum mintage is 400,000 silver dollars. The copper-nickel clad half dollar is limited to 750,000 coins in total.

Initial sales numbers and pricing information for the different coin options were reported. For example, the single 2024-P Proof silver dollar had 11,818 coins sold at $82, with a regular issue price of $87. Similarly, the prices for other coin options will also change after the introductory pricing period.
