The 2024-W Proof American Silver Eagle is a 1 troy ounce .999 fine silver coin, featuring mirror-like backgrounds and frosted designs that represent the Mint’s highest-quality finish. The coin was made available for sale at Noon ET for $80, with the U.S. Mint setting an initial household order limit of 25.

Collectors eagerly seek these West Point Mint-struck coins, as evidenced by the annual sales figures for recent issues:

American Silver Eagle Coin Designs
American Silver Eagles have showcased Adolph A. Weinman’s classic Walking Liberty design on the obverse side since their inception in 1986. This beloved design features Liberty in full stride, wrapped in the American flag, extending her hand, and holding laurel and oak branches.
In 2021, the Mint carefully recreated Weinman’s original design details on the obverse of the coins, leading to the differentiation between Type 1 and Type 2 versions. The obverse inscriptions include “LIBERTY,” “2024,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
The reverse design of the American Silver Eagle program was completely revamped in 2021 and remains the same. It features an eagle clutching an oak branch, symbolizing a landing.
Reverse inscriptions on the coin include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR,” with a reeded edge for added security.
