2024 American Eagle Silver Proof Coins
The United States Mint (Mint) will begin accepting orders for 2024 American Eagle Silver Proof Coins minted at its San Francisco facility on August 7 at noon EDT. These collector coins are limited to 25 per household for the first 24 hours, subject to availability.
Enhanced Design Details
The American Eagle Silver Proof Coins are collector versions of the official United States Mint American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins. Minted since 1986, these coins were updated in 2021 with a refreshed obverse and a completely redesigned reverse to commemorate the program’s 35th anniversary. The obverse features Liberty in full stride, while the reverse depicts an eagle approaching a landing with an oak branch.
Reeded Edge Variation
In addition to the enhanced design details, the American Eagle Silver Coins also include a reeded edge variation. The Mint took measures to improve the coin’s security features against counterfeiting, aligning with programs implemented by major mints worldwide.
