2024 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin
Washington, DC, June 03, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The United States Mint (Mint) 2024 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin from the Mint’s West Point facility will be available for purchase on June 6 at noon EDT, with a limit of 10 coins per household during the first 24 hours of sales.
The American Eagle Silver Uncirculated Coin serves as the collector’s edition of the official United States Mint American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin. Originally introduced in 1986, the coin underwent updates in 2021, featuring a refreshed obverse and a newly designed reverse commemorating the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program.
Design Details
Just like its bullion counterpart, the obverse of the American Eagle Silver Uncirculated Coin showcases Adolph A. Weinman’s Liberty design, with intricate details that closely resemble Weinman’s original vision. The reverse, designed by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso, portrays an eagle landing with an oak branch, adding a symbolic touch to the coin.
The redesigned American Eagle Silver Coin incorporates a reed pattern variation for enhanced security, aligning with global anti-counterfeiting initiatives in major mints worldwide.
