WASHINGTON – The United States Mint (Mint) will release the 2024 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin, produced at the Mint’s West Point facility, on June 6 at noon EDT. During the initial 24-hour sales period, orders will be limited to 10 coins per household.
The American Eagle Silver Uncirculated Coin is the collector version of the official United States Mint American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin, in production since 1986. The coin underwent updates in 2021, with a refreshed obverse and a completely redesigned reverse to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program.
The obverse of the American Eagle Silver Uncirculated Coin features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic design of Liberty, enhanced to more closely reflect the original details of the artist’s vision. The reverse, created by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso, depicts an eagle landing with an oak branch, symbolizing the addition to a nest.
Enhanced Security Measures
To enhance security, a reed pattern variation has been included in the redesigned American Eagle Silver Coin, aligning with global standards for anti-counterfeiting measures implemented by major mints worldwide.
